Manager MSL (Medical Science Liaison) - Peshawar

Job Description

The Medical Science Liaison Manager (MSLM) is responsible for leading, developing, and managing the Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs). This role involves planning, organizing, and directing MSL activities within the Medical Affairs department. The MSLM works closely with the Medical Affairs team and cross-functional partners to develop strategic action plans and is accountable for the effective implementation of Medical Affairs strategies at the regional level.

In collaboration with the Medical Adviser (MA), the MSLM is also responsible for developing and managing a Key Opinion Leader (KOL) engagement plan aligned with MSL goals, objectives, and tactics. Additionally, the MSLM may support special projects and initiatives within the Medical Affairs function.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate strong MSL relationships with external scientific, medical, and managed care communities through expert peer-to-peer engagements.
  • Identify, hire, train, develop, and manage a team of MSLs to implement field initiatives aligned with Medical Affairs Strategy.
  • Ensure development of best practices and scientifically-based materials compliant with legal, regulatory, and company guidelines.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (including local sales teams) to lead the development and execution of engagement and educational plans for HCPs and KOLs.
  • Lead medical education for HCPs through scientific communication.
  • Deliver high-quality presentations of scientific data to HCPs in various settings to enhance product/disease knowledge.
  • Track and report quantitative and qualitative data from MSL activities to demonstrate customer impact and goal achievement.
  • Identify key deliverables, insights, and metrics to show the value of the MSL organization and provide input to medical affairs strategy.
  • Implement systems or practices that enable the team to gather and communicate valuable information.
  • Act as a role model for the Medical Affairs team by providing best practice examples and educating stakeholders on current trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prioritize time and actions effectively, adjusting when circumstances change to ensure critical results are achieved.

Requirement

  • Medical Degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent).
  • 5–7 years of relevant or related experience, with at least 2 years of direct experience managing or leading teams.
  • Strong scientific and clinical knowledge in relevant therapeutic areas.
