Sr Manager - Supply Chain Excellence & Back Process

Job Purpose

The Sr. Manager – Supply Chain Excellence & Back Process is responsible for end-to-end planning and execution of the back process portfolio, ensuring smooth integration between local and international business units. This includes overseeing material planning, production scheduling, inventory control, system enhancements, and cross-functional collaboration to improve OTIF performance, reduce order-to-dispatch cycle time, and optimize resource allocation. Back process being the 1st step towards OTIF delivery, has significant impact on Revenue, Bottom line and significant impact on Working capital.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide direction in production planning for raw and semi-finished materials.
  • Drive alignment between demand forecasts, MPS, MRP outputs, and capacity constraints.
  • Standardize S&OP, planning templates, and performance tracking mechanisms.
  • Define short-term and long-term supply chain optimization strategies.
  • Oversee the Supply Planning Specialists and Executives for accurate production plans.
  • Approve production schedules, OT decisions, and material movement across plants/warehouses.
  • Govern RM and SFG inventory levels strategically to maintain service readiness.
  • Lead capacity planning and ETO prioritization to maximize utilization.
  • Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and automation initiatives for enhanced efficiency.
  • Implement SAP PP/MM enhancements and integrate procurement, QA, and logistics processes.
  • Monitor forecast compliance, OTIF, production adherence, and KPIs monthly.
  • Generate forward-looking insights on capacity utilization, material shortages, and demand trends.
  • Track and analyze Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), by-products, and yield variance metrics.
  • Act as the key interface between Planning, Procurement, Production, QA, Warehousing, IT, and Logistics.
  • Train and mentor Supply Planning Specialists, Executives, and SAP Core Users.
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives with sales, marketing, and customer service teams.

Skill Requirements

  • Strategic supply chain planning with MRP, inventory control, and S&OP integration.
  • Expertise in data analytics, forecasting, and KPI reporting.
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Leadership ability with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Advanced), SAP (PP/MM), Power BI, and ERP tools.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration.
  • Certifications in APICS (CSCP/CPIM), Lean Six Sigma, or PMP preferred.
