Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide financial loans administration and perform disbursements under loan, equity, guarantee, and technical assistance operations by verifying compliance with rules and procedures before disbursing funds.
  • Settle treasury transactions by verifying compliance with rules and procedures.
  • Perform payments of administrative expenses, salaries, allowances, and benefits, according to the Bank’s policies and procedures.
  • Calculate and arrange settlement of the due share capital contributions from member states.
  • Conduct daily reconciliation of “nostro” accounts to ensure compliance with the Bank’s records.
  • Support other departments in presenting financial reports accurately and on time.
  • Provide input for policies, rules, procedures, and technical details when required.
  • Control the Bank’s cash flow based on information from various departments.
  • Follow up on opening of “nostro” accounts in multiple currencies with correspondent banks.
  • Review and contribute to documents related to various stages of the operations cycle.
  • Lead, manage, motivate, and effectively deploy staff to achieve departmental objectives and annual targets.
  • Train, coach, appraise, and mentor staff, ensuring effective selection and management of consulting resources.
  • Maintain a teamwork culture, keeping the team motivated and committed to departmental and Bank goals.
  • Evaluate employee performance to ensure efficiency, while training and motivating staff under supervision.

Requirement

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, ideally in a large commercial/investment bank or multilateral development bank.
  • Proven experience managing SWIFT payment operations and ensuring compliance with international messaging standards.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, financial formulas, macros) and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
