Field Inspector/ Surveyor – Rice Inspection

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Control Union Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd. in Karachi, Pakistan for Field Inspector/ Surveyor – Rice Inspection.

As a Field Inspector/ Surveyor – Rice Inspection, you will be responsible for tasks and responsibilities as given below. Applicants must have extensive knowledge of Rice Inspection. The position expects good communication, analyzing and observing skills in addition to being a keen reader and detail oriented.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Conducting pre-shipment inspection of rice, including visual quality determination (e.g. moisture%, milling degree, broken grains%, average grain length, damage/ chalky/ yellow grains% etc)
• Quantity determination
• Supervising loading operation
• Drawing samples and making composites according to established procedures
• Preparing field inspection reports
• Adhering to the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) and Code of Ethics, ensuring impartiality and independence

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in rice pre-shipment inspections, specifically in visual quality determination, quantity determination, and loading supervision
• Education minimum Intermediate level
• Good understanding of general inspection methods and procedures
• Familiar with rice inspection standards and sampling techniques
• Knowledge of GAFTA Rules, ISO 7301 and ISO 24333
• Able to work independently
