Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, design, assess, and implement financially viable and sustainable operations to achieve the Bank’s objectives.
  • Design, implement, and monitor trade finance policies and operations.
  • Promote SME sector development in member countries through financing operations.
  • Collaborate with the Office of the General Counsel and other departments in developing and negotiating financing packages.
  • Establish and strengthen relationships with correspondent banks and financial institutions for BNFI transactions.
  • Examine and monitor ongoing financing operations through financial intermediaries as needed.
  • Support the Department Head in resource planning and budget preparation aligned with the work plan.

Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or International Relations.
  • Master’s degree in these fields is preferred.
  • 6 years of relevant experience in a commercial or investment bank, preferably within a multilateral development bank.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of international trade finance products.
  • Basic understanding of bank balance sheet analysis.
  • Familiarity with bank-to-bank loan documentation and correspondent banking applications.
  • Experience with Development Finance Institutions (DFI) and Multilateral Development Banks (MDB).
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
